Better Late Than Never!

These pictures are about a month late but oh well! Here is Russ and Taylor in Palm Springs. Taylor is turning into such a little girl! She was so much fun to play with, I just couldn't get enough of her!
It was nice and warm here. I think the temperature reached the 100's which was normal for us but it gave Russ and Jolene a taste of what our summers are like in Arizona.
Look at those blue eyes and those rosy cheeks!
Russ and Adam having one last chit chat before we head home. We always have such a good time with them...we were just sorry that nobody had pictionary! Jolene and I make a pretty good pictionary team. We'll have to take them down at Christmas!
This is about as typical as our evenings get here in Johnson Ranch. This is Pauline, Chris, Ervin and Adam eating dinner in the backyard. Adam usually grills some sort of meat and Pauline and I combine something from both of our fridges and call it a meal! After dinner we'll play a couple hands of cards or go for a swim. There are definately some benefits from working 52 hours in one weekend because we LOVE having our weeks off together. It's just so much fun!

Good Bye House!

Hi Everybody! So it's been a while since I updated this thing. Well I'll start with letting you know that we decided to not buy our new house after all. We really feel a peace about letting that go and just continue to rent the house we are staying in right now. We have a great deal working for us right now. The house we rent is right across the street from our best friends here and it comes fully furnished! That is huge for us because we didn't have to buy anything and its all new furniture. It is also nice to have a spare bedroom for guests to come visit. So the owners of the house extended our lease until Christmas. We are unsure what we will do after that but until then we are really enjoying it here.
Also we had a wonderful time in California visiting Adam's family and our friends there. It was a short trip but well worth it! We just went back to Cali last week again for a couple days to visit Russ and Jolene and our sweet little Taylor who is growing up so quickly! We met them on there vacation in Palm Springs and had such a great time hanging out with them. Not much else has been going on, just a lot of splashing around in the pool and staying in the air conditioned house! It has consistently been in the 100's the last two weeks and it is not letting up anytime soon....so come visit us! We have extra sunscreen!

Good times with Steve

This whole evening was so fun and filling! Fondue is the way to go!
We enjoyed playing a little catch with the good old nerf football in the park behind our house. Everything has really greened up around here in the last two weeks. We are definately enjoying it!

Me and Stevie at her first 'In N Out' dining experience.

Little Sissy Comes to Visit

Just enjoying a little Chinese food after we went to the movies.
The weather is just about perfect in the evening this time of year!

Playing cards at the local coffee shop. Adam comes here all the time to do homework or sometimes we go just to read. We always have our trusty game box in the back seat though, just in case we get the urge to play cards!

We went out to celebrate our birthdays together. We went to the melting pot which is a fancy fondue restaurant. It was absolutely delicious! This was our dessert. A white and dark chocolate swirl fondue. The whole dining experience lasts about 2 and a half hours and it was so fun!

I'm Sweaty.

Well I am afraid its tank tops from here on in. My cute jackets will have to be pushed to the back of the closet for the next 8 months. It has been so hot the last two weeks! I think we might get a small break from the 90's this week. At least the pool is just a few steps away! Adam surprised me this morning with two tickets to California for my birthday! It will be a short trip but we are still very excited. We haven't been back to see Adam's family since we moved here! And the week before that my sister is coming to see us. So April should be a very fun month for us! Anyway, I gotta go. There is a fresh pot of coffee and a devotional waiting for me in the kitchen! Blessings!

Fun With Mom and Dad!!

We had the privilege of taking Mom and Dad to their first Mexican restaurant while they were here in Arizona. It was sooo good! We also took them to a country/western steakhouse which was right up Dad's alley. It was equpped with saddles and all!

The Beginning Stages...

Well, here is our house!!! I took a picture of Adam on our dirt lot the day we signed the papers. A couple weeks later the cement pad was poured and literally the second it dried our house was framed the next day. They bring it in pre-assembled so it goes from cement to a framed house in one day. Very fun to watch!!!! Our house backs up against a park with trees and a playground. Our backyard fence is called a view fence which is a nice feature because you don't feel so closed in. The park is lower than our yard so people would have to walk up a slope to really peek at us! We can see the Superstition mountains from our house and we are within walking distance to our community pools, lit basketball courts and beach volleyball. There is also lit tennis courts for our community to use, which is fun. We are scheduled to be able to move in at the end of June.
